A few weeks ago we had a practice in Brooklyn, NY and decided to do a round-robin (winner stays on the table). I ended up winning 17 straight matches. This will probably be my last practice before getting elbow surgery November 12.
A few matches from the 2009 South Jersey Fitness Expo in Atlantic City, NJ. I ended up taking first place left handed and third place right handed in the Pro 242 pound class. Max Maxwell, Steve Carbone, Tim Lewis, and Edwin Safarian are some of the armwrestlers in the clip.
Check out this arm wrestling video John Budion edited for me. He threw some pretty sick visual effects on some old arm wrestling footage.
Been training for the upcoming August arm wrestling tournament Atlantic City, NJ. Pictured is me pulling on garage springs with a rolling thunder grip. Also doing some half-rep hammer curls and isometrics.
Connor Swegle, proprietor of Twenty 120 and Executive Producer of Click 3X Entertainment rocking out my PETA arm wrestling shirt.
I think this kid might be the next arm wrestling champion!
Hunter (pictured above) thought athletes needed meat to be strong, most people think exactly that. After the tournament his mom told me that I inspired him to be a vegetarian. I also received an email from her last week saying that he hasn’t had meat since the competition! I’m real proud of you Hunter, keep it up! Your doing really great things by not eating meat.
Looks like I am back on the Northeast Board arm wrestling rankings (220-242 lbs). Second to Marcio Barboza both left and right handed. It has been over two years since my name has been on that list.
Sick To My Stomach
I just finished watching some videos from GoVeg.com and was reminded exactly why I do not eat meat anymore. It is so horrible and sad to see the way those poor animals are treated in factory farms. The way they get kicked around and stomped on - it is so inhuman and unjust. They have the same feelings and suffer the same pain as any cat or dog. Why can’t people see this? I SERIOUSLY don’t understand how humans can be so cruel.
I am sick to my stomach.

Soy and Sake Village, NYC

Soy and Sake Village is my FAVORITE vegetarian cafe in the West Village specializing in Japanese, Chinese, and American style dishes. My girlfriend and I eat their EVERY Friday night, we are regulars. All of the food has been perfect (our goal is to try everything on the menu) and inexpensive. Some other dishes include: mockmeat sandwiches, curries, salads, noodles, sushi and my favorite bento boxes. If you are ever in the New York area be sure to stop in for a bite!
Rob Bigwood Arm Wrestling at the NYAWA 2009 White Castle Big Apple Grapple held at the International NY Auto Show at the Jacob Javits Center on April 18th, 2009
Match in the video: Rob Bigwood vs. Shawn Lattimer
Take a peek at this short teaser Matte Chi cut from yesterdays Big Apple Grapple tournament. Matt is the most amazing director, videographer, and editor - a really talented guy. Contact me if you want his email for work purposes.
I ended up taking second place to Travis Bagent in the super lefties AND second place to Mike Selearis in the 225 lbs right handed class. Not too bad for training only 3.5 months and taking over two years off.
Pictured Above: Tocotrienols, Raw Power, and Nature’s First Food
One of the most common questions I get asked being a vegetarian is “So how do you get your protein?” I tell people there are PLENTY of ways to get great sources of protein other then meat - its a huge misconception.
After a workout I usually mix Tocotrienols, Raw Power, Nature’s First Food, some peanut butter or bananna with Silk soy milk.
I order all of that from SunFood.com or RawPower.com

ONLY two days before the Big Apple Grapple event! I’m excited and nervous all at once considering I have not competed in almost 2.5 years!!
Paul Sorvino Eats at GOBO, NYC?!
I was out to dinner last night at GOBO, an AMAZING vegetarian restaurant located in the West Village. Then out of nowhere walks in Paul Sorvino (Big Pauly from Goodfellas) and sits down a few tables from us.
Didn’t think Big Pauly was into vegetarian food?! He looks more like a meatball and pasta kind of guy.
:)
I also had the pleasure of catching up with Klaus Heesch - the owner of that sexy design studio in Florida appropriately named Juicy Temples.
